Built for the Black Celebration show, this bench is without question a personal favorite. I named it the Homage bench as a tip of my cap to the man who inspired me to make funiture as a form of expession: George Nakashima. I stitched the lightning struck Orchard Cherry slab with ebony butterflies. Brass spokes and wedges stiffen the charred, hand shaped reclaimed oak back-rest, support spindles and turned tapered legs on concealed levelers.
To truly appreciate this bench it needs to be sat upon.
